Play Dress Up the Night Before

Remember when it used to be fun to pick out your outfit for school? I mean we legit planned to look fly. Shirts, socks, matching scrunchie. Um, folks, we can still do that. And why wouldn’t we? We are grown and fabulous! Set your clothes out the night before all the way down to accessories. You’ll be surprised how much more relaxed you feel in the morning while getting ready. Give yourself a wink in the mirror. Ya, you look gooooood.

Don’t Hit Snooze!

Girl don’t do it. I’m not gonna do it. I’m just thinking about it. Haha! Yeah right! Hitting that what seems to be magical, button of “just a few more minutes”, is only going to make you more tired, stressed because you have less time to get ready and probably late. Put that phone or clock far enough away from you that you have to get out of bed. Use that extra time to do your makeup at home, instead of your car.

You’re Up? Good! Now Put Down Your Phone

Are we checking for a snow day from work or emergency? No? Then don’t start your morning staring at a screen.  Social media is another common thing that makes people run late, therefore adding stress to your day from the get and upping your cortisol levels. No bueno. Also, what you feed your brain first thing can affect your mindset for the DAY. If that’s puppies, awesome. If that’s puppies with no homes, we’re screwed. Think about it.

Check That Gas Tank Daily

Your morning is going just fabulous. You even have time to grab a coffee. And I oop! Just kidding, you have to stop and get gas. Latte dreams out the window. Ok, NOBODY, wants to stop at the gas station on their way home from work. I get it, we’re done with the day and ready for pilates and pinot. BUT preparation is our friend honey. Always keep your gas tank half full and you will NEVER find yourself in a rush, stressed about having to get gas. You’re welcome.

Ya. Just breathe. Take a breath or 10. Deep breaths are fabulous for our overall health, they help us focus, calm down and give you an overall sense of well-being. Have a big presentation today? Close your eyes, take a deep breath and count to ten. We all can benefit from the quick reset. You’ll be amazed at the results. Use this any time of day. Trust me, it helps.
